What is the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme is designed to give people on a mobility allowance the chance to lease a reliable car at a discounted rate. It makes getting around easier and more affordable.

Who is eligible for the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme is designed to help people that receive either Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) lease a Subaru Motability vehicle.

How do you pay for a Motability car?

The process is designed to be as effortless as possible. Instead of worrying about each payment, the scheme allows you to use the Motability allowance and have your allowance provider pay directly for the scheme. Depending on the model you choose, you might need to make an advanced payment.

Are Motability cars exempt from ULEZ?

Disabled people are exempt from the ULEZ charge until 24 October 2027 as long as their car is registered with the DVLA as having 'disabled' or 'disabled' passenger. You can find out more about the ULEZ support for disabled people here.
