How do I charge my EV?
Charging points can be located at most Subaru approved dealerships. In addition, there are now more than 64,775ǂ charge point connectors across the UK in over 33,829 locations – including supermarkets, shopping centres, public car parks, hotels and motorway service stations. Some of these will also include rapid charging points, where your electric vehicle can be charged up to 80% in approximately 30 minutes whilst you are out and about.
You can also install a 7.0kW EV charger unit at your own home, which will charge the Subaru Solterra up to 80% in approximately 7-8 hours. This allows you to take advantage of cheaper energy tariffs by charging overnight when it is off-peak (depending on your supplier).
You can also register to join the Subaru Charging Network (https://www.subaruchargingnetwork.eu/web/en/subaru-gb) - one of the largest public charging networks in Europe giving you access 729,249 charge points across 25 countries!
You charge an EV by plugging in to the charging port using a cable. Due to regulations, all new EV cars now come with a Type 2 socket fitted as standard, but you can also connect this to a normal domestic three-pin plug to charge at home if you don’t have a wall-box installed.
