The Auto Express Driver Power Survey is the UK's most comprehensive car customer satisfaction survey which is based solely on obtaining genuine and independent feedback from real customers. The information they collect covers several categories including practicality, safety, reliability and quality, among many others. Tens of thousands of drivers respond to the survey telling them what they loved and hated about their cars, allowing the experts at Driver Power to collate useful insights, and produce an overall score for vehicle manufacturers.

We’re delighted to announce that for the 2024 survey Subaru has been voted the top manufacturer, beating more mainstream and prestige brands in the list of 32 manufacturers. Overall, we scored top-10 ratings in 34 out of the 36 individual attributes across all 10 categories; and top-five ratings in 27 of them.

Subaru owners rated us highly for interiors, practicality and boot space, ride and handling, safety features and quality and reliability. Infotainment and exterior categories ranked fourth overall with value for money falling into second place behind only Dacia.

Paul Barker, Editor of Auto Express, said: “Subaru may not be the most high-profile of brands, but owners have made it clear they’re delighted with their car’s practicality, safety, reliability and quality, among other key attributes.

We’re proud to have built a long-lasting reputation for safe, tough and fun vehicles, with true go-anywhere capability designed to cater to our rurally based customers. But as Auto Express went on to mention “There’s clearly something special about a brand that provides such exceptional levels of satisfaction to its target audience.
